Excursion Wekk and other things

Ok well lets start with Paris. It was pretty much awesome. We stayed in Montmartre (if you have seen Moulin Rouge you know its where the Bohemian revolution took place, which was pretty flipping cool). I really liked that area, the little stores and everything. One day we were walking to the city center and there were these three guys just walking down the street playing their horns and it felt like we were in new orleans.

Of course all the other attractions were great, the eiffel tower was cool. We were the last ones in line that day to climb the stairs up, we climbed those horrible steps, it sucked, but was worth it, then we took the elevator to the third floor. The museums were cool and really big, there were so many things to see in them you get overwhelmed. We walked around a lot! If you see the map we were all the way up Paris and it took us like 2 hours to get anywhere. We came back and couldnt walk for three days. It was worth it and was really cool, except everywhere was dirty in the centre.

The excursion was really cool. Dublin was boring and we stayed there for three nights, one of the days we went to Cork and saw the Blarney castle, which was really pretty around with the grass and trees.

I loved Scotland, Edinburgh was really cool. We stayed in a cool hostel, where we met up with the other girls and I just really liked how the city was layed out and stuff. The train up to Inverness was really long but the views were amazing, especially at this one part where we crossed snow covered mountains, it was just so pretty. Manchester was cool, our hostel was pretty much awesome, I think the best from the trip and we went out to eat Indian food that night and it was the best food EVER!!! it was a cheap restaurant but the service was awesome, they even put rose petals on the table, lol. And of course the Manchester United stadium was sooo cool.

The whole trip we took four planes, five trains and two buses, not counting the local buses and transportations. We traveled soo much in a weeks time, but I liked it since I do like the traveling part.
Well that was excursion week. more to come.

This week

Everything is good over here. Weve been booking stuff for our excursion week in the uk and its stressing me out. I mean I knew it was gonna cost money but I dont like thinking about it.

Whatever, well were going to Dublin, Cork, The Blarney castle, Belfast, Edinburgh, Inverness, Loch Ness, and Manchester, all in one week, it will be a packed week but were extremely excited and its going to be awesome.

Tomorrow were going to Paris and thats extremely exciting too. All 8 of the girls are going so hopefully it will be good, were staying till sunday night. This time Ill actually get to go up the eiffel tower, cause last time I was there I didnt get to.

I miss the hotness, I want to go tanning right now. Swimming outside with the palm trees. Tat would be lovely, but I still like this weather. plus its getting better, its not piercing cold wind in your face anymore. ok well thats all. Miss you all., if you still read this...

The White Cliffs of Dover

(It wont let me turn it, so just turn your head to the left and youll be fine)

Me and Teresa went to Dover this past weekend, it was pretty awesome. We took the bus there and then walked to the B&B we stayed at. We first got there and the lady was so nice and told us where to go and stuff.

First we climbed the white cliffs and it took us forever, we pretty much walked for miles, but it was sooo pretty. Too bad the ferry port is right there, it ruins the scenery. You can see France from there but it was too foggy, its only 22 miles from the cliffs.
We also went to the castle and it was really pretty and big. We had to waste time there so we sat for a while and listened to music and enjoyed the view. In world war 2 soldiers used to stay in tunnels under the cliffs and we got to go on a tour which was pretty great. Yeah so we pretty much had a great time.

REALLY?!?!?!?!?

Ive been trying to feel better for this game, Ive stayed in all day taken some medicine, drank orange juice and just rested. First of all the weather sucks for a game, its raining and Im pretty sure it will be raining hard when we go, and it will not be fun to be out there when my throat hurts and my nose is runny. But I would go through all of it just to see Kaka play.....BUT....of course he's not gonna be there, of course not, it would happen. He hurt his foot playing last saturday and will not play for 15 days, 15 DAYS!!!! really?
Well of course being the girl I am I cry for 15 minutes straight after reading this. I mean when else will I be able to go to a Brasil game where I get front row tickets? NEVER!
Let me just go cry some more.....

Death Hiccups

As I am writing this I have had the hiccups for 5 min now and they are annoying the freak out of me. I guess I have the flu or cold or whatever it is. My throat really hurts and my head does too, which completely sucks cause the game is on tuesday and i nedd to be at my best to root for my team! yeah

We went to the tower of london today and it was pretty cool. The guide was hilarious which made it even better. We saw where two queens were executed and it was really really cold.

Classes are ok. Our British Seminar class goes on forever, but most of it is going around town and seeing stuff. Anglo American Perspectives is hilarious, the teacher has this heavy accent and talks forever and ever, its soo funny. Our Art painting class was oring, even though I like the painting and stuff we had to stand there for two hours, while my whole body was in pain and I barely made it out of there, I thought I was going to die from the pain. The lady is very monotone but shes nice, we havent had politics yet and thats the one im not really excited for.

Everything is pretty cool, everyone is still getting along, and its cool. I have not had fish & chips yet, but I am still holding out until i can find chicken & chips.

Look at that, my hiccups are gone....

Its actually Snowing!

It really is and its pretty awesome. This morning we went out in the backyard and played with it. We even had a snowball fight with our neighbors next door. It looks so pretty and pictures will be up soon. Class was cancelled today, so were basically having a vacation right now, and its pretty awesome.

We had indian food on saturday and it was soo good, it reminded me of the food I used to have when I lived here. It was amazing! Chicken Mossala with Nan bread, mmmm so good.

Well thats pretty much it for now. Were all gonna go to the British Museum soon, and look at things for our class, but that about it. Just seeing all the sites, walking around, having snowball fights and having fun.

My Kinder eggs

How could I forget?
I bought kinder eggs yesterday and it made me very very happy
theyre so good!

Oh London, how I love thee

Me and Teresa have been going everywhere, I think were so excited
that were here that we just want to go. My left knee hurts, thats right
just my left knee, Im hoping I just hit it somewhere, but it could be from all the walking.

So there are four floors, a bathroom, then you go up, then rooms , then a bathroom
then more rooms. Well the bathroom i go to does not have two steps in front of it, but the one before that does, well I use the bottom one, the one with the steps, and as Im coming out I like step my foot out and fall sideways on the stairs. Im not gonna lie it was pretty funny. I literally just fall sideways in slow motion and while Im falling Im thinking to myself, 'really did I just do that?'. Fortunatly no one saw it, lol.

People are actually really nice, like the people that sell things and stuff are nice, and people are helpful and say hi. Today at Buckinham Palace we got there right at the changing of the guards (which i liked the way the marched so I imitated them) and we were looking through the gate
and the man holding a machine gun said hi and waved, see nice british people.

We also went to Hyde park and Kensington gardens for our class and while were there
this man asks us if we know spanish, so me and Teresa bring out our skills
and try to help find this memorial thing. So we tell him to follow us
since he has to cross this bridge and we do too. He keeps asking if we atually know where were going, and at one point he turns to us and sasy in spanish 'I think its better is I find it myself". haha he didnt trust us, lame.

Well yeah, the food is awesome. Silvia made 'Bangers & Mash' today, yumm, its sausages and mashed potatoes. Very good. Cool, hope everyone is having a good semester

So I am here now, very happy indeed.
My flights were great, I basically ran in Cincinatti to my London flight cause I did not have enough time between them, since the first flight was 20 min lates. But nothing exciting up till then. The flight was great, no one sat next to me and the flight was almost empty, just like Carries, so it was really comfortable. The cooolest thing about the flight was that there was the personal screens, and i watched a movie, a couple of sitcoms, including pushing daisies which i really liked, and there were games on it and stuff, and it was awesome! and I saw little sheep out of my window which was really cool.
So I get to the airport and everything is really smooth, my bag was one of the first ones that came out, customs was a breeze, the guy was really nice, and I found the bus I had to take. It was a nice ride but my heart was pounding, I did not want to get a cab. So we get off the bus and I see no cabs around, so I keep looking and still no stupid cabs. Well there was the subway right there, so I was like 'why not?' and went in. I asked the guy at the counter to help me and i got the ticket and i thought everything would be great. So first I went down and I had no idea if I was taking the right train or not so I asked this woman and she helped, she was really nice. So the thing comes and I get on with my extremely heavy luggage, delta even put on my bag a tag that said heavy, and my stupid backpack that felt like I was carrying a child on my back and my extremely heavy computer on in my purse. So Im standing there looking very awkward and everyone keeps looking at me like Im a total freak, so I sit down but my suitcase is so big that it blocks the whole aisle, which makes me feel even more self concious, but no I do not get up. So I start freaking out a little cause I thought the lady lied to me and sent me on the wrong train, but it was ok. then I had to switch and at the first station it was ok cause there was an elevator but this station did not have an elevator, so I had to carry that stupid bag up the stairs, where people are looking at me like Im completely crazy again. I finally get on the other one and reach goodge street, then more stupid stairs.
When I finally get up there I ask the guy where gower street was, so he tyold me but I didnt understand, all I heard was right, left keep going, but I wasnt gonna ask him again so I just went. I reached gower street and of course went the opposite way, then realized the numbers were going up and not down. I reach the door and knock and then I thought no one was there cause they took forever to open the door, and by this point I would have cried if no one had answered, cause I was tired of taking that suitcase around, with my hurt shoulders from my purse and i was just mad at that point.
But then it was all good, and yeah.
Today me and Teresa walked around, we walked everywhere, we went to Trafalger square, to Waterloo Station (which we thought was the harry potter station at first, but it wasnt) the London eye, we didnt get on it, the parliament the big ben and just seriously walked everywhere. So yeah, pretty exhauted right now, but its ok cause its awesome here, and I love the weather! yay
